Director of Health and Wellness Service

  • Salary: Negotiable based on education and experience.
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as health promotion, public health, or nursing and/or a minimum of 5 years experience managing this field.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the WFNC Health Team’s daily operations and work activities of staff.
  • Prioritize maintaining the scope of operations and services within the WFNC Home and Community Care Program.
  • Coordinate transitions of care along the continuum of care for HCC clients with travelling contract HCC Nurses.
  • Responsible for health policy compliance for WFNC HCC services and any other relevant health services programs.
  • Directly manage the WFNC Health Team’s daily operations and work activities of staff.
  • Travel is required and the Director of Health and Wellness Services must be able to travel to remote northern First Nation communities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven leadership/management experience, preferably in a related health field.
  • Critical thinking skills and must be able to lead a team of staff.
  • Ability to provide case management services, including assessing needs, developing care plans, and coordinating resources.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing Health and Wellness programs.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide case management services, including assessing needs, developing care plans, and coordinating resources.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the value of equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
